Laminated glass also provides a level of security when used in residences, storefronts or other secure locations as it remains in place even when badly broken due to the strong PVB inner-layer.

 The uses of both types of glasses varies, like on the car wind-shield laminated glasses are supposed to be used so that incase of any accident, the passengers are at least safe from glass cuts. Also, laminated glass should be used on doors and windows because even if the glass breaks, the pieces will stick together thus no intruder would be able to enter your house. However laminated glass cannot be used in a corporate room setting because the construction model should include an emergency exit as breaking out of such a room would be as difficult as breaking in, hence tempered glass should be installed.
